Welcome to Tanzania. Upon your arrival in Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha airport, you shall meet and greet with our safari guide who shall introduce you to Arusha and give you an introduction/briefing of the tour. After which, you will drive straight to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay. If you arrive early enough, you shall be taken for a simple Market tour, Arusha city tour before transferring/returning to your hotel for dinner, relaxation and overnight. Ensure you charge your cameras and get ready for tomorrow’s adventure.
Early morning, you shall have breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park. It is Tanzania’s third-largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Tarangire is famous for its large herds of elephants, Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. In the course of the trip, you shall watch great animals’ concentration along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. Some of the animals you shall sightsee include lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants. You’ll enjoy game drives with a picnic lunch. After lunch and an extensive game drive inside the park, we will drive straight to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.
With the memories of Tarangire, you shall exit in a transfer game drive as you head to Ngorongoro Crater which is considered one of the Wonders of the Natural World. The crater spreads for 102 sq miles and has 2,000 ft high walls, making it virtually Noah’s ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It’s one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest, and open plains. It’s also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. Upon arrival in Ngorongoro, we will descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. After a fantastic afternoon game drive, ascend the crater and transfer to your accommodation. At the crater, there are countless numbers and diversity of animals and other wildlife that you shall sightsee. Prepare to be amazed.
Today is yet another amazing day of adventure. Immediately after your lovely breakfast, we shall depart for a transfer drive to Serengeti via Ndutu. Enroute, you shall further sightsee many wildlife such as zebras, impalas, hartebeests, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, buffaloes. You shall also have the opportunity to stop at a local Masai village for a short Maasai village encounter. Upon arrival in Serengeti, you shall proceed for a short evening game drive before proceeding to your accommodation.
After breakfast, you’ll set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of the Serengeti. This morning and afternoon are reserved for game drives through the iconic Serengeti National Park. This vast wildlife reserve is famous for the same annual migration as Masai Mara, in which over a million herbivores migrate south from the northern to southern Serengeti plains during the short rainy season (October and November), returning north after the long rainy season (April to June).
The Serengeti National Park provides excellent wildlife viewing all year, so we should see plenty of plains game and predators roaming the plains.
On this day, we suggest a very early wake-up in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you’ll ever witness. It’s really one of the most beautiful experiences to have. After the game drive, we will return to the camp for a rewarding brunch. Afterward, we’ll proceed to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha, or whatever your next amazing destination might be (i.e. Zanzibar). Alternatively, instead of this early morning game drive, you may choose to stay at the camp for a bit of relaxation.
