Tarangire. These distinctive and giant trees are Tarangire signature wildlife.
Before you depart Tarangire, you may also spot some lions, leopards and hyenas.
Exit Tarangire in a transfer game drive as you head to Ngorongoro Crater which isconsidered one of the Wonders of the Natural World. The crater spreads for 102sq miles and has 2,000 ft high walls, making it virtually Noah’s ark and inhabitingalmost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa.
It’s one of thevery rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black rhino.
The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest, and open plains. It’s also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a Wonder of the Natural World.
We will start the day very early with a transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth.
After a fantastic afternoon game drive, ascend the crater and transfer to your accommodation. There is the
possibility to downgrade or upgrade your accommodation level.
On this second day in Ngorongoro, the adventure is more exciting than you may expect. We eat breakfast early and descend 600 meters into the crater for an action-packed day of game viewing in this wildlife paradise.
Our 4×4 game drive takes us through the crater floor’s varied ecosystems, where we meet several wild animals. Here, you shall see the highest concentration of animals ever, meet the lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, black rhinos, flamingoes and more.
After the morning encounter, proceed for your picnic lunch at the crater and then start ascending up the crater before embarking on a transfer to Serengeti.
After breakfast, you’ll set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of the Serengeti as you have your Ngorongoro departure game drive. Enjoy an
unforgettable Serengeti game drive in the famous Serengeti Ndutu area where you get to meet the hyenas, cheetahs, lions and more. Retreat and proceed for your lunch before you continue with yet another rewarding late evening game drive as you meet some of the profound wildlife of Serengeti including the
wildebeest.
This vast wildlife reserve is famous for the same annual migration as Masai Mara, in which over a million herbivores migrate south from the northern to southern Serengeti plains during the short rainy season (October and November), returning north after the long rainy season (April to June).
The Serengeti National Park offers excellent wildlife viewing all year, so we should see plenty of plains game and predators roaming the plains.
On this last day, we strongly recommend an early rise up in order to enjoy your last morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you’ll ever witness. It’s really one of the most beautiful experiences to have. After the game drive, we will return to the camp for a rewarding brunch.
Afterward, we’ll proceed to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha, or whatever your next amazing destination might be (i.e. Zanzibar). Alternatively, instead of this early morning game drive, you may choose to stay at the camp for a bit of relaxation.
