Arusha National Park is a small wildlife park located northeast of Arusha city in Tanzania’s famous mainland that habours Serengeti, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and a couple of ther amazing game viewing parks. Entrance Gates to Arusha National Park:

Arusha National Park has three entrance gates:

  1. Momella Gate: This is the most preferred and main gate entrance to the Arusha National park. Located about 30 kilometers East of Arusha city, it is the closest to the Momella Lakes, Mount Meru, and Ngurdoto Crater areas of the park. When planning a game drive to sightsee the major wildlife of Arusa, you shall probably use Momella gate.
  2. Ngongongare Gate: This gate is closest to the Ngurdoto Crater in the southern part of the Park. This gate is about 22 kilometers from arusha City. it’s most recommended for a crater drive around Ngurdoto Crater, also know as the little Ngorongoro.
  3. Tengeru Gate: This gate provides access to the northern part of the park, including Mount Meru. Located approximately 16 Kilometers from Arusha City, this gate is frequently used by trekking guests because of it’s close proximity to Mount Meru.
