Today, as you start your tour, you shall depart Zanzibar airport and transfer by a small plane to Seronera. Upon arrival at Seronera Airstrip, our driver will be ready to pick and start your daily adventure in the famous park Serengeti National Park ‘The Endless Plain” – a place of easy sightseeing of the African big 5 – the lion, leopard, elephant, buffaloes and rhino. Serengeti is a UNESCO world heritage site and hosts approximately 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles that join the wildebeest during the Great Migration as they seek pasture and fresh waters. Depending on the time of the trip, you shall listen to the exotic sounds of over 6 million hooves pounding the open plains of Serengeti just like how you imagined African wildlife to be. After a long day of Safari, you will drive to your accommodation for evening leisure and overnight.
Today is yet another day of unrivalled adventure. You shall explore further the beauty of Serengeti but, just before that, you shall have breakfast. Apart from the large mammals, Serengeti is also home to gaudy agama lizards; Rock hyraxes scuffle around the surfaces of the park’s isolated granite kopjes. During this astonishing game drive, you shall spot many other animals such as gazelles, jackal, warthogs, African wild dogs and some fascinating birds like ostrich, black eagles that soar effortlessly above the Lobo Hills. In short, the day is going to be full of fun and adventure. Later in the evening drive to the camp for evening leisure and overnight.
Unfortunately, you have to say good bye to Serengeti. After a satisfying breakfast, you’ll set out for another round of thrilling game drives, exploring different other animals of the Serengeti as you transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today, before arriving in Ngorongoro, you shave the option of visiting the Olduvai Gorge or taking an exciting game drive in the Ndutu sector of Serengeti/Ngorongoro and later have a short Maasai boma visit where you’ll have the opportunity to witness (and participate in) traditional Maasai dance, tour an authentic Maasai village, and even do a little souvenir shopping at the local market. After this, proceed to your Ngorongoro crater lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.
Much as today marks your last day in your 4 days Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater safari, you have so much to explore. You shall have a lovely breakfast and depart for the exciting Ngorongoro Crater, considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation. Ngorongoro crater is home to over 120 species of mammals including the renowned Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world and considered one of the best places in the world to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamuses enjoying the cool water.
From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations.
